I'M SEARCHIN' FOR A NOTE. I KNOW IT'S STUCK WAY DOWN IN MY THROAT. AS I'M SEARCHIN' FOR A NOTE, IT'S STUCK WAY DOWN, WAY DOWN INSIDE OF MY THROAT. AND I KNOW IT MAKES ME CHOKE. I'VE BEEN SEARCHIN' FOR MY NOTE. IT'S STUCK IN MY THROAT. I KNOW THIS IS IT. BEEN SEARCHIN' FOR MY NOTE. I KNOW IT'S SOMEWHERE DOWN THERE, STUCK IN MY THROAT. BEEN SEARCHIN' FOR MY NOTE. I KNOW IT'S GOTTA COME OUT OR I WILL BE BROKE. WOW, THIS IS BAD. AND I NEED MY NOTE. I NEED IT BAD. (SOLO) SEARCHIN' FOR SOMETHING TO SAY. THE MUSIC JUST WON'T GO AWAY. (YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?) AH, THAT'S PAINFUL. (SOLO) WRAP IT BOYS. I THINK WE'RE THROUGH.

ALONE I WAIT CRYING. WHEN I'M FACED WITH MY FEARS, I THINK I'M DYING. BUT YOU CAN EASE MY PAIN BY THE TOUCH OF YOUR HAND. YOU UNDERSTAND. ALONE I STAY, SIGHING. IT'S THE LONELIEST FEELING. IT'S WORSE THAN DYING. BUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO. I WANT YOU TO BE MINE. CHOOSE ME, AND I'LL BE YOURS ALL THE TIME. ALONE AM I WAITING FOR YOU. NOT A FRIEND IN THE WORLD, I KNOW IT'S TRUE. YOU'RE CHOOSING ANOTHER MAN. MY HEART SAYS IT'S TRUE. BUT BEFORE YOU GO, I HAVE TO SAY, I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU, WITH YOU. ALONE I WAIT, CRYING. WHEN I'M FACED WITH MY FEARS, I THINK I'M DYING.

YOU ASK ME FOR A FAVOR AND I COME BACK. BUT IF I WANT SOMETHING IN RETURN, YOU ASK ME WHY. AND IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, TAKE A LOOK. YOU MISTOOK MY KINDNESS, AND I DON'T GIVE A FUCK. DON'T RUN ME OVER. I DIDN'T DO A THING TO YOU. DON'T RUN ME OVER. YOU WON'T MAKE ME A FOOL.

about

This album is something of a full circle story. The studio my dad and I built together, called The CELL BLOCK Studio, was mainly a jamming studio from 1991-2006. In 2007, we got a 4-track cassette recorder to start making good sounding demos. We recorded two songs that way before abandoning the project, mainly because we upgraded to a digital recorder, using Audacity as our main music recorder and editor. I had a mono cassette recorder I used between 2004-2006, capturing “demos” made mostly by me with my friend, Sean Crain. I took those recordings and overdubbed some bass parts and called it good. The raw recordings were kept intact, capturing the demo stage. Technically, this was the first recording project done at our studio. In July of 2019, my father passed away and my mother decided to sell the house, which entails selling the studio adjacent to the house as well. So, this will most likely be the last project completed at The CELL BLOCK Studio. Since 1991 through today, Sept of 2019, I'll be leaving behind great memories and unforgettable times that I will carry with me forever. This is, truly, my father's legacy.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
