about

When I found this demo in 2019 (a good two decades after I recorded the demo), I decided to keep this particular version since it differed somewhat from the final version. At least this way, you can hear the direction I was originally going before the final official version I eventually released. The quality of the demo wasn't very good since the batteries in the mono cassette recorder was on the verge of dying, but at least you can hear the gist of it after I cleaned up the recording a bit.

This is song #671.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

ALONE I WAIT CRYING. WHEN I'M FACED WITH MY FEARS, I THINK I'M DYING.
BUT YOU CAN EASE MY PAIN BY THE TOUCH OF YOUR HAND. YOU UNDERSTAND.

ALONE I STAY, SIGHING. IT'S THE LONELIEST FEELING. IT'S WORSE THAN DYING.
BUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO. I WANT YOU TO BE MINE.
CHOOSE ME, AND I'LL BE YOURS ALL THE TIME.

ALONE AM I WAITING FOR YOU. NOT A FRIEND IN THE WORLD,
I KNOW IT'S TRUE.
YOU'RE CHOOSING ANOTHER MAN. MY HEART SAYS IT'S TRUE.
BUT BEFORE YOU GO, I HAVE TO SAY, I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU, WITH YOU.

ALONE I WAIT, CRYING. WHEN I'M FACED WITH MY FEARS, I THINK I'M DYING.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
