This was one of my first attempts at writing a full country tune. My dad wanted to see if I could stretch out of my rock and roll style a bit and try my hand at writing a country style song with the older 40's-50's flavor. I think the lyrics are fairly simple, but I was only 16 when I wrote it. The melody works for me though the story is a bit thin. Not a bad try for a first attempt while being out of my comfort zone. For the recording, I tried to make it sound as if it came straight out of the 40's, like listening to it from an older radio.
