about

This is basically an old style country tune I was trying to write. I kept the recording as simple as possible. I recorded the lead vocal and acoustic guitar back in 1993 (June 16th on a Wednesday according to my notes) and had that on one track, done in one take. In 2017, I did the rest of the overdubs, using the original mono cassette tape of the recording, transferred digitally onto Audacity. This is song #442.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

I Was Alone ‘Til I Found You,
But Heartache Came And Showed Me Truth.
You Ran Around And Broke My Heart.
You Took My Love And Tore It Apart.

Let Me Go Before I Cry.
You Stay With Me. I Wonder Why.
I Don’t Love You Anymore I Say.
But You Won’t Leave Or Go Away.

You Say You’re Wrong,
I Say You’re Right,
Which Leads Us Here Into A Fight.
I Compliment The Game You Play,
But I Don’t Trust The Words You Say.
(Solo)
It’s Been So Long Since I Saw You,
And It’s Been So Long Since I’ve Been Blue.
My Mind Is Glad I Let You Go,
Though My Heart Is Sad And All Alone.

Yelina, Oh Yelina. Yelina, Oh Yelina!

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
