This was one of my first attempts to write a somewhat light-hearted comedy tune that was supposed to be short and to the point. When I originally wrote it, I filled in the lyrics with complete throw away words just so I could move on to the next project. I knew one day I’d get back to it and have to re-write it. However, since I consider this a total throw away tune, I didn’t put too much thought in the re-write. I did wish to keep the simplicity of the song intact. I thought about adding a solo but, in the end, decided against it. I also got to use several “instruments” I usually don’t get to use, made mostly for kids, like a whoopee cushion, children’s whistle and whatnot.
This is song #45.
Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.
lyrics
(Why Me?)
Why, Why Me? Instead Of Walking, I Went To Ski.
Why, Why Me? I Fell Down And Broke My Knee.
I Know I’m Selfish. I Don’t Care
But Keep Your Nose Out Of My Affairs.
Why, Why Me? Why Do I Ask And Worry About Me?
Why, Why Me? I Want To Be Alone, Can’t You See?
Why Do You Have To Worry About Me
When You Know I Wanna Be Free?
Why, Why Me? Sitting At Home Not Watching T.V.
Why, Why Me? I Left Home And Forgot My Key.
Why Did I Forget My Key,
When I Could Be Home Watching Tv?
Why, Why Me? I Never Got To Watch The Old Man And The Sea.
Why, Why Me? The Bill Has Come For The Cable Tv.
As I’m Sitting Here, Beginning To Choke,
I Realize I’m Still Too Broke.
Why, Why Me? I Can’t Drink Beer But I Can Drink Tea.
Why, Why Me? My Bladder Is Full And I’ve Got To (Wee!)
I Bought A House That Wasn’t So Old,
Before I Moved In, I Found It Was Sold.
Why, Why Me? My Life Is Over Because Of She.
Why, Why Me? I Always Get In Trouble Because Of He.
I Would Like To Stay Awhile,
And Turn My Frown Into A Smile.
Why, Why Me? What Else Can I Say Besides Why Me?
Why, Why Me? I’m So Tired And I Can’t See.
I’m Sick And Tired And Want To Hurl
'Cause I Have Lost All My Hairs And Curls
Why, Why Me?
I’m Tired Of Writing So I Will Be Home With Me. Why Me?
I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I
could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs....more
I've jammed with this guy and have heard this band live. They play with all their soul and it shows--you can hear it as well as feel the music. The Santairs
