This song was recorded at Audio Recording, Inc. in Seattle by legendary engineer, Kearney Barton (who recorded The Kingsmen “Jolly Green Giant” of “Louie, Louie” fame, The Sonics “Psycho”, The Frantics “Werewolf”, and many others.) It was an 8 track analog studio, recorded onto 1 inch reel tape.
During some down time from recording “Ka-Trina,” I asked the engineer to press the record button so I could play the piano. It was more like making noise on it in an avant-garde process. I wasn’t trying to do anything except make some sounds for about two minutes. It ended up being two minutes, five seconds, hence the title of the song. (I added a “little” effects flavor in a couple small places at my home studio.) It was recorded in 1992 and all done for fun. No other thought was put into it.
To finish off this particular mix, I had to convert it from a cassette format onto the Audacity program on my computer with a JVC TD-W254 Double Cassette Deck 3 motor Silent Mechanism.

Song 428th on my list, it was written just on the spur of the moment. No other thought went into it except I never had an avant-garde song that featured a piano. Plus, it was a beautiful grand piano that was hard to not want and put your hands on it.
