This is the 2nd song Sean and I recorded at his parent's place along with “Sweet Autumn Leaves” using a portable, mono 2 track tape recorder. We wrote this faster than “Sweet Autumn Leaves” in that we improvised it about 4 minutes before we actually recorded it. It was more like musical tissue rather than an actual song, but it seems to work nonetheless as an eerie instrumental. Sean performed the piano part while I played the lead guitar riff. 25 years later, I overdubbed the rest of the instruments, including drums and a bass. I wanted to keep it simple without over-saturating the sound, so I opted for very little instrumentation.
I still had the original tape of this and I transferred it from a “Denon Precision Audio Component/Stereo Cassette Tape Deck (DRM-700) with Silent Mechanism/Dual Power Supply System 3 Head” onto the Audacity audio editor and recorder.

This is song #178 that I wrote (along with my friend Sean.) The riff of the song sounded so strange to us, that we entitled it, “Twilight 2000” not because we were clairvoyant and knew the Twilight books and movies were going to be made (though that would be a great story) but rather, it's based on “The Twilight Zone” television series that we watched.
