I wrote 80% of this song when I was about 18 years old, just before my first “real” paying job. Everyone was pulling me in different directions on what I should do with my life and so on. I just knew I couldn't quit music, and that I had to do it, even on a part time basis. It's a decision I haven't regretted to this day, 29 years later—when I finally completed the song. (I never said I worked fast.)
