THE LONGEST, UNCLEAR SOUNDING SONG (SOUNDS OF NATURE) PART II [edited]

about

1984: This is side two of the first SOUNDS OF NATURE tape I made, which is in fact a sequel to the THE CRAZY TAPE I did back when I was seven years old. This tape was made when I was 14 years old, one year before I wrote I’M SO LONELY, which was my first actual song I wrote and that I got an “A” from the music teacher. (Always a nice feeling!) This includes me playing a DJ in a mock performance I made up myself, and acting like a movie critic watching/listening to the sex scene of the movie, “Dressed To Kill” (which I actually think is still a very good thriller/horror movie.) I think HBO turned me into an adult before my body was ready for it. Anyway, I did the same thing here as I did on side one where I left the cassette player on by itself outside, recording whatever was happening. You can hear children playing, doors slamming, garbage trucks go by, cars going down the street, airplanes flying past and so on. As I listen to these tapes again as I transfer them over onto a digital format to immortalize them forever, it brought back some interesting memories. As a young teenager, I felt invincible, like it didn’t matter how insane an idea was (concerning music and sounds). I was going to give it a shot regardless. I know my childhood wasn’t exactly a “normal” one, but at the very least, it was a fun one overall (minus the real racism I experienced first-hand when I was growing up, which if very different from what I see today.)NOTE: To not violate other copyright works, this is the same exact recording(s) as the original except those violations have been removed. This is recording #603, though, chronologically, it would be song/recording #4 in my life that I ever made.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA. and various places outside the studio.

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
