THE LONGEST, UNCLEAR SOUNDING SONG (SOUNDS OF NATURE) PART I [edited]

about

This “recording” is the sequel to “The Crazy Tape” I made back in 1984, from ages 13-14. This was me being a silly teenager; including making several vocal noises, musical noises, recording various sounds like pets and people, and doing things most teenagers who were into music would do but would never have the audacity to record it. I had records on a phonograph and sped them backwards and forwards and at different speeds, playing DJ with sounds coming from the radio, to background conversations, and recording everything I could get my ears on. I also had the recorder on where I was watching movies and walking around the house (much to the annoyance of my parents.) 27 minutes into the tape, I got the idea of placing the mono tape recorder outside on the porch and let it record whatever was out there. This became the birth of some of my recordings I called, “Sounds of Nature.” The last couple of those recordings became more professional and serious, which this obviously wasn’t. This recording was literally the 3rd recording I made in my life; before I went on to write actual songs. But even these tapes/recordings inspired me to continue onward and get ideas for writing songs. If I were a director of movies, I would have had a camera. If I were a photographer, I’d have taken photographs. So this really isn’t a wild idea that I did stuff like this, exactly. It’s just not what people would probably call the “norm” in most homes, which may have been a good thing.
NOTE: To not violate other copyright works, this is the same exact recording(s) as the original except those violations have been removed.
This is recording #602, although, chronologically, it would be considered #3 of things I’ve written/recorded in my life.

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
