about

This was just an early songwriting attempt to write a mid-60's sounding rock tune. It's really pretty simple both lyrically and melodically. I didn't try to do a rewrite or work on it beyond what I already had. I kept it pretty much exactly the way I originally wrote it except changing a word or two. There wasn't much inspiration behind this tune except an exercise in writing something straightforward and simple. On that level, it works, but there's nothing too deep about it or anything. The part I like the most is the bass part my father wrote to it. As he told me many times before, a good bass part can make an average song sound great (but a turd can't be polished) or something like that.
This is song #113.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

Tell Me (Tell Me) You're The Only One.
Kiss Me (Kiss Me) Before It's Over And Done.
Tell Me (Tell Me) That You'll Love Me True.
Tell Me (Tell Me) 'Cause I'm In Love With You.

My Life Is Aching. You Kicked Me Out.
The Love We Were Making Was What It's All About.

Tell Me (Tell Me) That You Love Me So.
Tell Me (Tell Me) Before You Get Up And Go.
Please Stay (Please Stay) Is What I Say.
I Love You (Love You) Every Single Day.
(Solo)
Our Love Is Real. We'll Never Part.
Show Me How You Feel From Within Your Heart!

Tell Me (Tell Me) Before I Die
That You Will (You Will) Never Make Me Cry.
When You're Gone (You're Gone) I'll Still Love You.
Then We'll See (We'll See) If Our Love Was True.
Tell Me (Tell Me), Oo! Tell Me (Tell Me), Oo! Just Tell Me.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
