Found a cassette tape that was my actual first INSANE (avant-garde, off the cuff) recording--pretty much of me just banging on bongo drums making silly noises. No one will really want to hear it, but it predates a cassette tape I originally thought was my first recording called THE CRAZY TAPES-THE FAMILY ALBUM (PART 1). This recording was on the second cassette I owned, but was the first one I used and the first one I completed. THE CRAZY TAPE recordings started when I was 7 but didn't complete the recording until I was 8. So, this newest find is the oldest recording of me (and it sounds like a 7 year old with nothing else to do besides have some OCD issues) but I'm cool with that, and quite happy I re-discovered it, so that I can forever digitize this sucker. I also had a new record player where I used to spin records fast forwards and backwards, and I injected that into my performance as well. This was not the birth of my creative mind, but it was the first thing I recorded onto a cassette, and it's original (if you can call it that.) There's only one other recording that predates this that I am aware, and that's something I did when I was around 1 year old that my dad captured on reel to reel tape.
