about

I’m not going to pretend I remember anything about this song or why I wrote it. I know it’s a joke and I was goofing around. I recorded this on my two track recorder sometime back in 1987 using only a classic acoustic guitar and my lead vocal. I was singing in several silly voices. Again, I don’t know what possessed me to write the lyrics or sing it in this style, but it’s there and it is what it is. I decided just to keep it and overdub a bass and drum part. In truth, I like the beat and feel of the song, but the rest of it is just a silly joke, including the lyrics. Maybe it’s one of those things that I wrote where I was going to come back someday and make a real song out of it but abandoned the idea.
This is song #294.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

Suh, Suh!
Coming Out Of The World As A Vegetable, Suh, Suh!
Forced Unto A Life Of Morbid Horror, Suh!
And Then The Terror Of Living Starts, Suh!
Comes From Phantoms That Lurks In Lochs, Suh!
Baby, Baby! Living The Living When Of Death, When You’re Dead!

Let Us Eat The Lettuce Of Your Wealth. Oho! (Burp!)
Capture Darkness And His Hand And--
That Is When, Maybe, You’ll Understand.
Suh, Suh! Get Those Arms And Legs Workin’ Now.

Light, I See Light.
Dark Is So Dark.
Color My Colour,
Doggie Does A Bark. Suh, Suh!

Ah, You Ate A Man’s Insides Tonight. Mm!
You Sturdy People Of Hate, Living Nothing! (Burp!)
Guts, Orgies, Satanic Humps;
Idiots Of Girls With The Mumps. Suh, Suh!

Confused You Are, Is This A Song? Aha!
Why Am I Singing Like This?
‘Cause The Bitch Told Me To.
It’s Better Than Eating People Like You. Say That Again!
Suh, Suh! Suh!

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
