I wrote this around 1985. A teacher in high school helped influence this song. It was one of my first few attempts at writing a comedy style song. Still, I never really took it seriously and didn’t plan on making this recording much different. I took the original demo I did on a two track recorder where my dad and I performed it live, with him playing the bass and me doing the guitar and vocals. The sound was very muddy with a lot of tape hiss, but I decided to use this take anyway. I overdubbed the drums, put in another vocal with an Audix OM6 and called it done.
