SIDEWALKS AND STAIRWELLS

from WE'RE ALL VERSIONS [Digitally Remastered] by The Santairs

/

about

I recorded this instrumental on a two track recorder, overdubbing both guitar parts back in 1987 or so. There's one lead part that eventually made it onto another song I wrote called MELISSA TELL ME. The progression of that song is the same as this one, so I thought I'd pop a part of a solo from this song onto the newer one. It worked out well. So, one can look at this instrumental as a prelude to what was to eventually become MELISSA TELL ME. I came up with this title because I was working as a security officer at the time, and I walked a bunch of sidewalks and stairwells and just thought this would be a good title for a song.

This is song #419.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
