Back in the early 90's, after my first cat named Kitty passed away, I wrote a song called ODE TO BELOVED KITTY and later changed the title to ODE TO BELOVED PET. The first take I did of the song wasn't very good since I was still grieving. I opted to do another version later and that turned out to be the keeper. However, the ending to the first version was a bit cleaner, and instead of splicing the two versions into one, I decided just the use the ending of the first version and turn it into it's own little instrumental song. I decided to call the song SAD since the song was performed during a very sad time in my life, losing one of my first pets that I was actually close to. It's just a small snippet of a song, but I didn't want to lose the “memory” of this recording, so I kept it and saved it and turned it into this little acoustical tune.
