This is another song I wrote back in the mid-80’s. It’s one of my first attempts at a rock/blues tune. I was inspired by lyrics that John Fogerty of CCR would write, sometimes using metaphors and running with it. The song is somewhat cryptic and I like it that way. I recorded only what I consider the true basic instruments of blues/rock, which is vocals, bass, guitars, and drums. It’s musically simplistic. I remember the riff was taken from the intro. of The Beatles “Day Tripper” and I changed it up quite a bit from there. I’m sure this riff has been used a dozen times over by other artists, but I was pleased at this early attempt at songwriting. It’s kind of a homage to my other song, “He’s The Man.” This is song #26.
