about

Just for the sake of knowing, the word “rhythm” is misspelled on purpose as “rhythem” and also in small case letters intentionally. (Why?) You may ask! ‘Because’ is my answer. I just wanted to. Thought it would look more artsy I guess. This song was recorded back in 1987 on a two track recorder. I had the rhythm part worked out, but I had the main melody line performed on the bass, so I overdubbed it. I stored it away until Dec. 2011 and added tambourine and a percussive sound that mimicked bongos. (I used a foam keyboard wrist pad with tons of reverb on it.) This song was nothing special except I thought it was unique to have the bass be the main feature.

This is the 193rd song I wrote.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
