I always wanted to write a song that had several songs within it, much like The Beatles Abbey Road, and songs alike The Doors, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, and so on. Technically, I had these few songs that had nowhere to go and weren't completely finished. And some songs were just silly first drafts that I didn't want to complete, so when this idea hit me, I decided to consolidate them into this one long recording. Most of the songs were a bit weird unto itself so I decided to call the song PARANOID SCHITZO as if it came from someone's deranged thoughts. For this particular recording, instead of recording each song separately and then melding them together during the mixing process, I used an old cassette recording (technically in demo form) which was recorded from my old two track recorder. This was back in the late 80's, I think. Even though the performance only consisted of me on guitar and lead vocal, I wanted to use what I had since some of the vocal performances are too difficult for me to replicate nowadays. I ended up overdubbing the bass and drums while adding some effects to get the sound I wanted. In a way, it's pretty much a live recording running for nearly 12 minutes. One extra minute of the "song" is the intro, where it's just an avant-garde of noises and sounds I put together years ago, which was also back in the late 80's.
