One of my father's best friends was a part time musician who loved to write songs. He wasn't what I considered a great lyricist, but he had some good country/rock beats that I liked, so he wrote several songs with me in mind. He also knew about my desire to write songs, so he asked for some help on a few of them. Most of the songs he never fully completed and asked me to finish them for him. I think, for this song, he wrote most of the verses and I wrote most of the chorus. It was a basic exercise in songwriting which I was quite happy to do when I was 15 years old.
This is song #18.
