about

This recording was somewhat staged by me. It’s the first time I heard myself on the radio talking and I wanted to know what that sounded like. So, I called into an “oldies” radio station and made a request of a song by the group that inspired part of my group’s name, The Corsairs. It’s actually a song I really enjoy called, “Smoky Places.” I still think it’s one of the best mixed songs ever made, especially back in the day without the technology we use today.
This is recording #245.

Recorded from The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

Radio announcer: "And Now On The Oldies Phone, Good Morning, Have A Song?"
Me: Yea, Ugh, There's A Song By The Corsairs, I Think It's called, "Smoky Places."

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
