This song was recorded at Audio Recording, Inc. in Seattle by legendary engineer, Kearney Barton (who recorded The Kingsmen “Jolly Green Giant” of “Louie, Louie” fame, The Sonics “Psycho”, The Frantics “Werewolf”, and many others.) It was an 8 track analog studio, recorded onto 1 inch reel tape. To finish off this particular mix, I had to convert it from a cassette format onto the Audacity program on my computer with a JVC TD-W254 Double Cassette Deck 3 motor Silent Mechanism. The players are: Wayde Brown (me) on lead and backing vocals, guitars, and tambourine; Nick Wilcox on bass, piano and backing vocals; and Dan Penland on drums and backing vocals.
This is song #432. I wrote this song for a girl I was trying to date (but with only minor success) who worked at a Pet Shop. The original line to the second verse is PET SHOP GIRL OF MY WORLD. Though the current recording reflects this, the line has been re-written to PLEASURE GIRL OF MY WORLD. There is an in-joke concerning the guitar solo in the song. Part of it was written to sound like The Beach Boys surfing guitar leads back in the 60’s. The bass player to this song, Nick, said he saw a band perform live, and that they were pretty good except the lead guitar player kept playing the same leads to different songs, sounding very much like The Beach Boys surfing guitar sound. Nick also had a girl he wanted to date and when we recorded this song, he told her that he helped write it for her. In truth, it was already finished, but the tactic worked since he’s still with her nearly 30 years later. Looks like this song did have a good affect on one Melissa. The Melissa it was originally written for may never have heard this song since I last saw her before I finished recording it. I think this song was written within a couple hours sometime in the late 80’s or early 90’s. The guitar solo also came directly from the song I wrote called SIDEWALKS AND STAIRWELLS, but this version of the solo is much more refined.
Recorded at Audio Recording, Inc. in Seattle, WA. and MINE music Studio in Auburn, WA.

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I
could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs....more
I've jammed with this guy and have heard this band live. They play with all their soul and it shows--you can hear it as well as feel the music. The Santairs
