about

This is one of the earlier songs I wrote. I was trying to emulate some Beatles style songs and a Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs tune called, “Stay.” I wanted the song to say a lot while being really short in time. This is one of the shortest “real” songs I've written. There are a couple other songs I've written that are short in time, but this one is pretty much the shortest (not including the avant-garde material or some of the sillier tunes I've written as a joke.) I changed only two words in this song when I recorded it, pretty much preserving what I was trying to do when I was 15 years old at the time I wrote it. (I may have just turned 16.) It's not what I consider a great tune, but just a nice homage to some of the styles I truly enjoyed when I was younger.
This is song #66.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

You Can't Sit Still. (Girl, You're Always On The Run.)
Please Come Back! (I Just Wanna Have Some Fun.)
Maybe I (Didn't Know Or Understand)
But I Want (To Squeeze And Kiss And Hold Your Hand.)

Now I Know (That You Are The One For Me.)
But You Want (For Me To Let You Go And Be)
On My Own (And That Would Make Me Feel So Sad.)
And I Cry (Because I Lost The Love I Had.)

Maybe I Didn't Know, Maybe I Wasn't There.
Give Me One More Chance To Show You That I Care.

Please Don't Go! (I Need To Make It Up To You.)
If You Go (I'll Feel So Sad And Be So Blue.)
I Need You (To Have And Squeeze You And Hold You Tight.)
Come Back Home (You Are My Last Guiding Light.)

Maybe You Didn't Know, Maybe I Didn't Care.
I'll Give Us One More Chance.
My Love For You Is So Rare. My Love For You Is So Rare.
My Love For You Is So Rare.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
