about

Lynette was a professional, teenage model who went to the same school I did. She had a great personality to match with her looks and she was one of the few people in school that I truly respected. I remember, for an assignment in class, each student was to turn to the student sitting next to them and give one, genuine compliment. She turned to me and said it was my smile. I laughed and told her I hardly ever smiled in school. And she said that's why she picked my smile, that because when I do laugh or smile, I am being genuine. And that was her personality; she was always able to make me smile in just about any circumstance. Also for the same class, we had to write a short story. She came up with a character for her story named, Kristie Monochilygilgee. I added the “K” to her middle name and wrote a song about it. So that was the inspiration for that particular tune. And Lynette was the inspiration for this particular song. Even though it's not a true story on my part, it was always a catchy tune that I liked, even though I haven't professionally recorded it. The actual recording I used was me on vocals and guitar and my father on bass back in 1987. I used a two track recorder, and when I went to re-learn this song to make a more professional recording, I was surprised to find that it wasn't half bad. Any song where I have my father performing with me on bass that is in somewhat decent shape, I tend to want to keep those recordings and use them. So, I overdubbed the drums, backing vocals, and a tambourine. It's not a top quality recording, but I am very pleased with it, based more on fond memories of me and my dad recording it together.
This is song #212.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

She Came To Me Once More Just Like She Did Before.
When I Held Her Hand, I Was Her Lovin' Man.

Another Boy She Saw: Our Love Was Gonna Fall.
Please Don't Leave My Heart Torn Apart.

What I Will Always Miss Is Your Loving Kiss.
Make Love To Me Once More Like Before.

She Knows How To Please A Man Just With A Touch Of Her Hand.
What Can I Do For You? I Need You.

Lynette, You Are My Light. I Met You On A Night
Holding My Heart To You, I Need You.

She Came To Me Once More, Just Like She Did Before.
Then I Held Her Hand: I Understand.

Lynette, You Are My Light. I Met You On A Night
Holding My Heart To You, I Need You.

Lynette, You Are My Life. I Met You On A Night
Holding My Heart To You, I Love You.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
