LOVE THEME (JUST BE MY FRIEND)

from international (2024 Remaster) by The Santairs

/

about

This was just one of my first attempts at writing an actual slow love song in the style of a 1950's ballad. It's a very basic song, using standard riffs and bass kick notes. It's the same style of music that I first learned how to perform on bass and guitar. The lyrics are pretty generic and the feel somewhat straightforward, but it was a great exercise in the learning process of songwriting.
This is song #34.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

Whisper: For All People, The Love Theme Is On.

I Want You Now. I'll Get You Somehow.
Just Stay The Night And Hold Me Tight.
I Need You. Love Me Too!
I Don't Know Why You Still Make Me Cry.

Baby, Don't Leave Me. I Promise I Will Be
Oh So True. I Love You.

Love Me Here. Love Me Dear.
I Love You So More And More.
But Now I Can See You Lied To Me.
You're Playing The Game. Things Are Still The Same.

I Need You. Want You Too!
I Hope To See That You Still Want Me.

We Are Done? I Needed Someone.
Please Don't Lie 'Cause I
Wanted You So. Just Letting You Go.
I Love You Again. Just Me My Friend; Be My Friend.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
