This was two different songs that I combined into one. I know I was influenced by The Beatles “Little Child” and The Diamonds, “Little Darlin” when I wrote this tune. I also was borrowing from my own song that I wrote earlier called “Baby, Darlin', Girl.” I never felt this song lived up to be anything more than just okay. It had potential, but it just didn't seem to go anywhere. I used the version I recorded on a two track recorder back in 1986 or so, with me on lead vocal and guitar and my father on bass. I used this particular recording to do all the layering and overdubs. I really liked what my dad put in there and his performance, so I kept this particular version.
