about

I originally did a demo of this song back in 1990 (recorded at Audio Recording, Inc. and engineered by Kearney Barton) and released it with the group called, “The Santairs” on the “Sleeping in Dreams” L.P. and cassette. I was never satisfied with that version for I felt it was left unfinished. On 7-19-12, I went into our studio, The CELL BLOCK Studio, and performed and recorded all the instruments to get this particular take, which is much closer to the vision I had in my head all these years. At times I hear a piano in it while at other times I didn’t. Since I’m not particularly good at the piano, I decided not to record that part and stay true to my original vision of the song. This song was written about a young couple in their teenage years. (I originally wrote this song around 1987 or so.) But I see this song can apply to any given relationship at any time. It’s a sad song but doesn’t exactly have a sad ending. I remember a melody of a John Lennon song that inspired this, but I can’t remember exactly which one—perhaps “Oh My Love” since that’s the only one that comes to my mind. I completed this on 11-23-12. This is song #184.

lyrics

When I Feel The World Slipping By,
All I Can Do Is Cry Just A Little, Then Go On.

When I Feel Your Touch On Me,
I Open My Eyes And See You There.

Let Me See You Smile Again.
Let Me Hold You Close Again.
Let Me Feel The Warmth That’s Been
So Far Away.

Listen When I Say To You,
I Know That Soon You’ll Be With Me.

When I Look At You My Heart Breaks In Two!

Let Me Kiss Your Lips Again.
Let Me Share Your Thoughts Again.
Let Me Feel The Love And Then
We’ll Be…Together.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
