about

This is the first demo I made of this song. I was never satisfied with it and re-recorded it in 2012 and got the version I wanted. This was recorded live with only two backing vocal overdubs done within a take or two. I didn’t have much studio time left when I got around to this song, so I just left it as is back in 1988 when I first recorded it (which did get released on the cassette version of SLEEPING IN DREAMS back in 1990.) I also changed a couple words in one of the lines in the remade version. It features me on guitar and vocals, my father on bass, and Bill Fletcher on drums.
This is song #545.

Recorded at Audio Recording, Inc. in Seattle, WA.

lyrics

WHEN I FEEL THE WORLD SLIPPING BY,
ALL I CAN DO IS CRY JUST A LITTLE; THEN GO ON.

WHEN I FEEL YOUR TOUCH ON ME,
I OPEN MY EYES AND SEE YOUR THERE.

LET ME SEE YOU SMILE AGAIN.
LET ME HOLD YOU CLOSE AGAIN.
LET ME FEEL THE WARMTH THAT’S BEEN
SO FAR AWAY.

LISTEN WHILE I STAY NEAR YOU,
I KNOW THAT SOON YOU’LL BE WITH ME.

WHEN I LOOK AT YOU MY HEART BREAKS IN TWO!

LET ME KISS YOUR LIPS AGAIN.
LET ME SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS AGAIN.
LET ME FEEL THE LOVE AND THEN
WE’LL BE…TOGETHER.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
