I recorded this on a mono cassette player, reading a book of silly poetry I wrote back around 1985. I used my regular voice at times, altered my voice at times, and added an accent at times, just to change things up. Then, when it came to getting it all together in 2014, I decided to speed the recording, using various techniques, so it only lasts a little more than 2 ½ minutes. Otherwise, it would have lasted nearly 40 minutes or so. I thought it was funny enough to manipulate and mix down. It’s not a classic, but I had fun for about an hour “jokin’ around” with this recording. (One day, I wouldn’t mind using my own voice to record some “real” poetry I’ve written…one day.)This is recording #547.
