JAWS + 2: THE PRIVATE TAPES [edited]

about

This is another one of those weird recordings. I used the radio and manipulated the sounds. I did some vocal improvisations and just overall acting weird, a natural trademark of mine, especially back then. I also performed parts of cover songs in a joking way. I recorded all these things while the movie, “Jaws” was playing in the background (hence the silly title to this recording project). But there is a significance in this particular recording for me. I know I recorded this when I was 14 and 15 years old, because that's when I first learned how to play the guitar. The second half of this recording, you can hear me learning how to actually play certain songs and parts of songs. As I listened to it, it brought back memories of having some serious frustrations, wrapping my mind around the difference between playing the bass guitar (which I learned how to do at age 7) and the guitar, which has 2 extra strings I didn't know what to do with. This recording is more of like scrap-booking via sound form.
NOTE: To not violate other copyright works, this is the same exact recording(s) as the original except those violations have been removed.
This is recording #597.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
