about

I wrote this song years ago within 15 minutes, probably around 1986 or so. I wanted it to be a simple lyrical song that has several different beats to it, making it hard to dance to. The more this song evolved, the more psychedelic it became. After a 4 month hiatus due to our recording studio being out of commission, I went in July 14th, 2012 and performed and recorded all the parts, including using a Theramin and backwards guitars. I tried different recording techniques as well, including using a preamp for the bass as well as recording sounds coming directly from the speakers, and using 4 microphones instead of 3 for the drums. For a pro, this is old school stuff, but for me, it was a first and I’m learning as I go. This is my 3rd song I’ve performed all the parts while recording everything. The more I do, the better I’ll get at it and the more I wish to experiment. I also used different microphones to get the desired effect, from the classic SM57 to an Electro voice dynamic microphone for vocals, and double tracking using an AKG perception 220. I’m still using the old school Audacity program in the studio (though I have an updated beta version of it in my home studio.) Within the next year or so, the studio will upgrade to the other version of Audacity, which should make things better and easier overall.
This is song #169.

lyrics

I Love You…I Love You…I Love You…
And Our Love Is True,
And I Know We Two
Will Never Be Blue,
As Long As I Have You.

I Love You…I Love You…I Love You…
And I Want To Say,
I Will Always Stay
Each And Every Day;
Don’t Go Away! Don’t Go Away!
(Solo)
I Love You…I Love You…I Love You…
But If You Go,
I’ll Feel So Lonesome,
And I Don’t Know—
Where Would I Go? Where Would I Go? Where I Would Go!

I Love You…I Love You…I Love You.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
