about

I used a JVC TD-W254 Double Cassette Deck with a 3 motor silent mechanism for the cassette tape transfer.
This is song #386th according to my list of notes. This is the other song which was influenced by George Harrison’s 2nd solo album called, “Electronic Sound.” I recorded this on a mono tape recorder at my parent’s house sometime in the late 80’s, just before my father built a music studio add on to his house. You can hear all the tape hiss and noise. I was trying just about every sound I could find on this particular keyboard. The only keyboard I’ve owned, besides a cheap 70’s organ years back, is a Kawai FS800, but this doesn’t sound like that particular keyboard. Not sure if I borrowed one from a friend or used my Kawai. Regardless, I just did my avant-garde thing, and I remember after I recorded it, I was happy with it. Not sure why, but that’s the story.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
