about

This particular song was recorded at my parent’s home back in the mid to late 80's, using an Electra guitar and with a double stack Earth amp. I used a cheap 2 track stereo to record this song. Thanks to the Audacity program and my computer, I was able to save this song onto a digital format before the tape degraded to a point of no return. I'm posting this as a testament of how I learned to become a writer, and also as a time capsule of what my childhood was like where creativity was concerned (before I learned how to actually write songs) though most people will find these songs as garbage or noise, which is fine by me. And if these "songs" inspire anyone to create something of their own, I would encourage them to continue.
I used the original cassette recording to retrieve this particular recording. I transferred it from a Denon DRM-700 for the cassette tape transfers.
This is 123rd on the list of songs I wrote. I heard a Chicago Transit Authority (Chicago) song called "Free Form Guitar" that I absolutely loved. This was just my attempt at doing some of those things on guitar and using only a small amp I had at home. I didn't own any pedals or anything extra, so it's a basic sound. I had only been playing guitar for about a year and a half by the time I made this recording.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
