FANTASY TOUCH

from Touch Of Fantasy by Rice Cracker Project

/

about

“Fantasy Touch” started as a jam with The Rice Cracker Project back in 2008. Song was completed a year later. Nick Wilcox, bass player, started what is known as “The Linda Lu” riff just so he could get us warmed up to perform “something” since we were just sitting there for several minutes doing nothing, pondering on what we should do. Nick then recorded that practice session. I took it home with me and wrote the entire song within an hour. It’s a half way true story of someone I knew back in my divorced years. The saxophone part was performed by special guest Jumpin’ Josh, a child prodigy blues and rock musician and singer. He’s also one of the top guitarists in the region at any age. (He was 12 years old when he performed the solo to this song.) This song was released on our first CD entitled, “Touch of Fantasy.”

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

YOU’RE CLIMBIN’ ON ME,
I’M FACIN’ THE RACK,
I’M WANTIN’ SOME LOVIN’ AND FUNNIN’ WHILE KEEP COMIN’ BACK.
YOU’RE FUN BUT NOT FREE,
RIDIN’ ON WOOD.
SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE I JUST CANNOT KEEP UP LIKE I SHOULD.

THE FANTASY OF YOU AND ME
FEEDS THE EGO IN MAN.
HOW CAN I LIVE IF YOU ONLY GIVE
SOMETHIN’ THAT YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND?
(SOLO)
YOU’RE LOOKIN’ SO HOT,
FEELIN’ REAL FINE.
THE SMOOTHNESS AND SOFTNESS OF YOUR SKIN’S TOUCH BUYS ME THE TIME.
MY SESSION IS UP,
CALLED YOU, “HONEY!”
THE FANTASY TOUCH OF YOUR LOVE HAS ME RUN OUT OF MONEY.

THIS FANTASY DOESN’T SET ME FREE.
CAN YOU PLEASE UNDERSTAND?
HOW DO I LIVE IF YOU ONLY WILL GIVE
THE SAME TO ME AS EVERY OTHER MAN?
(SOLO)

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
