This song was recorded and engineered as a demo by Kearney Barton of Audio Recording, Inc. I did two demos of this song before making a third and final version in my own studio years later. The first demo I did was when I was 18 years old, performing all the instruments, right down to the electronic “finger” drums. This version (the 2nd demo), my friend and co-writer sang the lead for the first verse while I did the 2nd verse. He also played the bass and I played the rest of the instruments. The drums were horrible. I only played drums a few times by this point, so I still didn't know quite how to do it. Also, I didn't care for the vocals. Of the 3 versions, this is the most haunting sounding of the bunch, which isn't where I was trying to go with it. The song itself is kind of a downer if you listen to the story, but I wanted this song to be upbeat and have a happier feel musically, hence me redoing it a 3rd and final time, getting what I actually wanted. So, for now, I present this 2nd demo version of this song.
