DON'T CRY BABY, DON'T SAY YOU'RE SORRY (VOCAL)

from WE'RE ALL VERSIONS [Digitally Remastered] by The Santairs

about

This is the 3rd and final version of these particular songs with this title, and oddly enough, it's the first, original version of the song, the way it was meant to be heard when I wrote it. I don't recall if this song was about someone in particular, but it's a song that was influenced by The Beatles “Blackbird” and “I'll Follow The Sun.”

This is song #217.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

DON’T CRY BABY. PLEASE STAY BY MY SIDE.
HOLD ME CLOSE TO YOU. THEN WE’LL SEE WHAT WE CAN DO.
DON’T SAY YOU’RE SORRY, ‘CAUSE I LOVE YOU SO;
AND YOU KNOW IT’S TRUE, THAT I LONG TO BE WITH YOU.

KISS ME DARLIN’. WHAT MORE SHOULD I SAY?
I FEEL LOVE. ISN’T THAT ENOUGH?
I REALLY CARE FOR YOU, CAN’T YOU UNDERSTAND?
OUR LOVE WILL ALWAYS BE, ‘CAUSE YOU MEAN SO MUCH TO ME.

DON’T CRY BABY. DON’T SAY YOU’RE SORRY.
I’LL LIVE AND CARRY ON EVEN THOUGH YOU’RE GONE.

ALL I REALLY WANTED WAS A GIRL LIKE YOU.
IF I CAN’T HAVE YOU, MY LIFE WILL BE THROUGH.
I PROMISE TO DO ANYTHING FOR YOU.
ONLY IF YOU TELL ME THE SAME TOO.

DON’T CRY BABY; DON’T SAY YOU’RE SORRY!

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
