about

I'm pretty much making up a new song from nothing. I found this recording on an old cassette tape. It's the second half of a song I wrote called DESIRE. The first half of the song is like any other with verses and choruses while the second half of the song is purely a (music) solo. It's a long enough of a solo to constitute its own existence as a song. I recorded two different versions of this song. This version is the first one. I didn't have a drummer at the time and I tried my hand at it, and it just wasn't going to work. So, I had to find a drummer who could help me out (which I did, later, for the 2nd completed version of this song.) So, I decided to trim this song down to its second half and call it DESIRE EFFECT as kind of a joke. I couldn't use the first half of the song since the drumming was so horribly bad and off, it would have been ridiculous. I wasn't trying to go for avant-garde, which in that case, it would have been acceptable. This was what I considered a “real” song and a “real” effort, so I had to leave the first half of this song on the cutting room floor.
This is recording #568.

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
