I wrote this song with Debbie Gibson in mind. When I first heard her music, I was intrigued. I thought her songwriting was very mature coming from a young teenager. Musically, I was inspired by Ennio Morricone's, “The Ecstasy of Gold” from the movie, “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.” When I recorded this in the home studio, I experimented with certain techniques I haven't used often, like using different vocal effects and performing an electric 12 string guitar and recording it like it was an acoustic.
