CHICKY CHICKY CHICKY COMEDY

about

This song is the sequel to “MY CHICKY (SHE'S MY BIRD).” Of course, one may wonder why write a sequel to a bad song with yet another bad song?! The answer is: When I get into a songwriter's rut and every song starts sounding the same like the one before, it's time to shake things up a bit. Usually, I would write a piece of nonsense like this or do some avant-garde recordings, like flushing toilets and burping or whatever. This helps to clear my creative thoughts and reorganize them again so I can move on. Think of it like a computer dump. After awhile, your computer starts slowing down until it's “cleaned” up, so, in a sense, writing a silly song like this cleans and clears me up to go back at it again fresh and new. For this particular song, I used an old cassette recording I had of me performing the guitar and vocals which I did back in the late 80's, using a two track recorder. Then, in 2014, I overdubbed the rest of the basic instruments to fill it out.
This is song #174.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

I Want You, You Want Me.
I Want To Climb A Tree.
I Say Ah, You Say Oh,
Santa Claus Says Ho, Ho, Ho.
I Say Why, You Say How!
We Will Try To Burn A Cow.
He's On Fire, Watch Him Run!
See Him Go, Cooked Well Done.
We Ate Him For Our Lunch.
Later On, We'll Have Him For Brunch.
I Want Love, You Want Hate.
I Lift A Million Pounds Of Weight.
I Start Screaming, You Start Crying.
All This Noise, My Chicky's Dyin'.

My Chicky, Chicky, Chicky's Dyin'.
My Chicky, Chicky, Chicky's Dyin'.
(Solo)
Here We Go Again!

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
