CHAMPAGNE INDIGO

from Sequence by Rice Cracker Project

about

Even though this is the longest song on the album, it seems to go by quickly when listening to it. Every part of the song is there for a specific reason and it came together very nicely. It's pretty much the last "main" song on the album, and we wanted to go out with a bang sort of speak. You can almost "hear" what Stephen is singing since he did it so melodically well that you nearly begin to feel you're actually near the ocean.

lyrics

SUNLIGHT DRAINING FROM A VELVET SKY
SEA BREEZE LICKS ACROSS THE WAVES
GREEN EYES MISTY FROM THE INDIGO
THE OCEAN VIEW...IN SOLITUDE

SAND SETTLING BENEATH MY FEET
DEEP BREATH SLOWING MY DESCENT
REACHING OUT MY ARMS TO BALANCE ME
THE OCEAN VIEW...MY INTERLUDE
(SOLO)
MAYBE MAKE MYSELF A BETTER LIFE
TIMES LIKE THESE I THINK I CAN
OPEN UP OLD ABANDONED DOORS
THE OCEAN VIEW...MY GRATITUDE
(SOLO)

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
