about

As I was listening to a lot of Bob Dylan material, I was inspired to write this silly tune. It doesn't mean anything except to be an upbeat, folk style tune, and an exercise in rhyming words together. I wrote it fairly quickly and on pure whimsy. I also took various lines from a few songs from the 50's and 60's and added them in here as a homage of the times. I also remember writing this so my father could have, what he considered, a classic bass run line. The actual bass line in this song is the first bass run that I learned.
This is song #22.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

Inside, Outside, Anyway You Want To Hide,
Upside-Down, Like A Clown. Then Get Sad And Grow A Frown Now Baby.
Yea, Yea, Yea! Now Anytime You Want Me, Just Call On Me.

Up, Down, Turn Around, Just Like A Basset Hound.
See You Later In The Paper. I'll Be There A Little Later, Yeah!
Yea, Yea, Yea. Now Anytime You Want To, Just Call On Me.

Backwards, Forwards, Anyway You Look At It,
It's Bigger, It's Smaller, It's Getting Even Taller, Oh Boy.
Yea, Yea, Yea. Anytime You Want To, Just Call On Me.

Stand Up, Sit Down, Tell Me What You Want And Now.
I Love You, I Need You, I Want It Show, Oh No.
Yea, Yea, Yea. Our Love Was Meant To Be, So Call On Me.

Walk Up, Walk Down, Just Like Cathy's Clown,
Up The Street, Downtown, Every Way You Look At It, I Need You.
Yea, Yea, Yeah. And If You Want Me, Just Call On Me.

Yes, No, No, Yes, I Can Take A Good Guess.
Blow Your Nose Like A Hose, And You'll Get Sick Of It, Oh Yeah!
Mm, Mm, Mm! When I Want You Too, I'll Call On You.

Won, Too, Three, Fore, Can I Have
A Little More? I Wore Knew Shoes,
Then My Toes Got Soar. No, Yea, No! Now Anytime You Want, Just Call On Me.

You Know, I Know That We Are So Slow.
Peggy Sue Always Knew That We Had To Use The Clues.
Oh, Ho, Ho! I Want To Hear From You, So Call On Me.

Down Around, All The Sound, It's Good, It's Bad,
It's Also Even Sad, Oh Yeah!
See, See, See! I'll See You In The End, My Only Friend.

Hi, Low, Sea, Shore, Me, Slow, Girls Know, Oh No!
Yea, Yea, Yea! I Need You More Before You Call On Me.
I Love You So Much So Call On Me. I Love You, Can't You See? So Call On Me!

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
