This is avant-garde and a joke in one. It's one of my shortest “songs” out there, clocking in at only 2 seconds. It's, of course, not really a song, but just a tape check I was doing and thought about keeping and doing something with someday, but it never happened. I took this little piece of **** (sample) and had Kearney Barton of Audio Recording, Inc. clean it up and put it on a professional cassette tape for future use. Now, this is the future use.
This qualifies as song #231 that I “wrote” or, I should say, made. I got the title just because it sounds like I was saying BUMP ZIP, and I copied The Beatles “Inner Groove Reprise” to an “Outer Groove Reprise” as a joke. This was recorded at home with a Realistic mono tape recorder. For about 40-50 songs in a row, I made only avant-garde “sounds” and “music” simply for the sake of getting out of a writing rut. After writing about 100 songs, they all started to sound alike, so I purposefully went into an entirely different direction. I had no desire or belief that anyone would eventually hear them. The Internet wasn't around and I was only a teenager at the time making goofy noises only to satisfy myself. But, for the sake of art, and the sake of just sake I guess, I am here, posting these avant-garde pieces for all to listen.
