BE MY GUEST (AND GROW UP)!

about

This is a kind of IN YOUR FACE tune. I wrote this way back when I was just graduating high school. I had very little dates back in the day and I noticed many teenage girls were dating men in their late 20's and 30's—and even some in their 40's. I found this to be disgusting back then, and quite frankly, unfair for us younger guys wanting to “date” (or whatever you want to call it, since “dating” isn't what the older men were doing with these young girls.) I talked with a few girls in school back then, and I used their “information” and wrote this song. It's in the perspective of an older man who just wants to get his rocks off and couldn't care less about the young girl(s). The lyrics remained exactly the same as I wrote them except two words were changed (and one word change was strictly by accident when a lady I know heard the lyrics and thought I sung SKINNY TYPE vs SKINNY TIGHTS.) I liked her misheard lyric better, so I changed it. And of course, my good friend and bassist, Nick, decided to cough up a word as I was singing a take at the end of the song that I left in there.
This is song #335.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

Be My Guest And Follow Me Home.
Be My Pleasure, Then Leave Me Alone.
Be My Guest And Follow Me Home.

Be My Wife And I'll Be Your Man.
Have A Child That Don't Understand.
Be My Slut, And I'll Be Your Man.

You Are Just A Fool. You Are Still In School.
You Better Go Back Home And Grow Up.
(Solo)
Be My Guest And I'll Be Your Flake.
Get Out Of My Life For Goodness Sake.
I'm Tired Of Being Your Bitch, So Get Away.

Be My Guest Tonight. We'll End Up In A Fight.
I Hate Your Skinny Type, So Grow Up.

Be My Guest And Follow Me Home.
Get On Top And I'll Come On My Own.
Be My Guest, Now Leave Me Alone, Leave Me Alone.
(Solo)

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
