about

It took 4 drafts of this song to get it the way I wanted, hence the (4) in the title. I wrote this song in reply to John Fogerty's “Change in the Weather.” The lyrics are open for various interpretations while still remaining a bit vague, and that's as much as I'll write about this song. I want people to make their own minds about how they feel this tune is about.
This is song #187.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

The Moon Is Full. The Skies Are Gray.
Bring Wrack And Ruin For Everyday.
Rockets Explodin'. Bodies Burn Hot.
The Jungle Is Cold. Afraid He's Not
For His Life.

The World Is Gone, Over And Dead.
Nightmares Flash In Our Empty Heads.
The Silent Moon Screams, Now In Pain.
She Sings Alone. Life's Goin' Insane
For You.

When I Look, I See It's So Unkind.
My Life Is Goin' So Blind.
Let's Ease The Tension We Built In Ourselves
Instead Of Living In Hell.

See The Gods? What Do They Do?
Heaven Is Gone. Nothing For You.
Hopelessness Is What I See.
Aching Thoughts Teasin' Me
Again.

When I Look, I See It's So Unkind.
Our Lives Are Goin' So Blind.
Let's Cease The Tension We Built In Ourselves
Instead Of Living In This Hell.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
