ACADEMIC INSANE SUPREMACY ORGANIZATION

about

This song is, more or less, a poem put into song format. I had Barry McGuire's song, “Eve of Destruction” in mind. This song, in a surreal way, is about a man's struggle with war, both for his country and on the home front within his private, family life. He's having a conflict in both areas which makes life miserable for him. I got the title pretty much from a friend who signed my annual at school that looked like this. It turned out to be different since I couldn't read his writing, but it inspired the title which later inspired the song.
This is song #132.

Recorded at The CELL BLOCK Studio in Auburn, WA.

lyrics

Only You Can See My Life. Only You Can Take It.
Living In A World Of Hate, When I Know I Can't Make It.
In This Academic World Of Lust, We Learn To Trust One Another.
But Then We Find One More Way To Go On Killing Each Other.
When Our Lives Begin To Start, You Can Bet We'll Die.
But Who Will Know How Easy It Is Living Life Full Of Lies?
We Are Born In A World Of Love That Never Seems To Be True.
As I Look With A Grin On My Face, I See Our Hearts Break In Two.
Then You Have The Nerve To Say, We Can Live As One.
With The People Who Say They're Great, They Equal Up To None.
Damn You For Your Cheating Lies. Damn You For Despair,
For It's Not Over Until The War Gets Us All Out Of Here.
Then I Hear Them Say It's All Right. We Will Live In Grace.
They Leave Us With The Same Old Thing. It's Such A Damn Disgrace.
Before We Die, I'll Pray For You, Because I Love You So.
Now It's Over, What Can I Do? No More Friends Or Foe!
We All Live In A Thoughtless Place With Nowhere Else To Go.
Then I Look For The Love We Seek, For It Has Left Us Once More.
The Wrath You Keep Inside Yourself Escapes With Passions You Hide.
Now You've Learned To Take It Well. You Commit Suicide.
In This World Of Ignorance, It's All Surrealism,
Yet When You Think That It's Okay, You're Back Inside A Prison.
And Then I Hear You Say Again, It Will Be All Right.
You Stand Up For What You Believe And Then You Start To Fight.
You Keep On Killing Each Other. You Torture Us To Hell.
And Your Anger Begins To Grow With The Bodies You Sell.
You Have Problems Just Like I Do, But Don't Keep On Hiding.
You Know What's Right Inside Your Head. It's Just A Matter Of Finding.
Pertaining To The Soul Or Mind Is Inside Your Head.
The Inner Parts Of Life In Oneself; Before You Know It, You're Dead.
You Think That Laws Will Win. That'll Be Your Undoing,
'Cause If You Go On Trial My Friend, There's No One Else To Be Screwing.
Let Me Leave You With A Thought In Mind: This Will Never End.
They Will Bring To Rack And Ruin; That's All They Send.

about

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
