about

With my portable recorder, and ever the “artist” wanting to try something I haven’t done before, I decided to conduct an interview…with myself. The only thing I didn’t do was ask myself questions. I was at work at the time as a Security Officer and I had a lot of down time. Doing things like this helped keep my sanity. I wrote several songs while at the station as well. It had really great acoustics for “ECHO” and a nice natural reverb sound. I recorded a couple songs there as demos. It would be terrible for acoustics to have an entire band play there, which was an idea I toyed with for a short amount of time. The main reason I did this, besides to try something new, is more of a bland reason. I had about 4 minutes or so of cassette tape left and I just wanted to fill it up and get to the new tape.
This is recording #345.

Recorded at the South Transfer Station in Seattle, WA.

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
