EXCERPTS FROM: "LIVE IN THE STUDIO"

about

This is song/recording #408 on the list that keeps on growing as long as I'm around.
Sometime in the early 90's, I took a mono hand held tape recorder to Audio Recording, Inc, and with engineer Kearney Barton's permission, I recorded the behind the scenes of, "Live in the Studio." What you hear is pretty much what you get. There was 3 of us in the studio, plus Kearney. It consisted of Wayde Brown (me), Sean Crain (one of my school friends and fellow songwriter), and Chris Boone, piano player. It's a long recording, lasting just over an hour. The tape consisted of 30 minutes per side, so you'll hear the tape recorder turned on and off a couple of times. I pretty much recorded one hour of the 4 hour session.
I had the original cassette tape of this and I transferred it from a "Denon Precision Audio Component/Stereo Cassette Tape Deck (DRM-700) with Silent Mechanism/Dual Power Supply System 3 Head" onto the Audacity audio editor and recorder.

Recorded at Audio Recording, Inc. in Seattle, WA.

The Santairs Auburn, Washington

I am a musician, singer, and songwriter doing this part-time but have been doing it all my life. I started singing before I could talk at the age of one, and wrote my first real song at 15 years of age. (If you count avant-garde as a song, then the age would be 7.) I currently own my own recording studio; and I write, perform, and record my own music (and other's from time to time.) I am Santairs. ... more
